
After extensive studies of the athletic shoe market, this design would fill the last gap
in the Nike product line: a canvas high-top basketball sneaker
that can be sold for under $40. The classic, timeless design of this particular shoe
should cause "converseation" among athletic shoe industry observers.
Certain industry observers expect that Nike would market this particular shoe as the Air Chuck. One of my co-workers, upon seeing the prototype Air Chuck, informed me "Hey, I had a pair of those when I was a kid!" I think he was severely mistaken.
