One of my readers sent me a picture of these shoes and asked if I knew anything about them. Being a definite sneaker freak, I immediately recognized that they dated back to the 1970s. They combine some of the features of the SL72 and some from the SL76 but they aren't a unique colorway of either one.
He also sent me a picture of the logo between the heel and the rearmost stripe... a bit of research determined that this was the logo for the 1976 Montreal Summer Games.
