
A number of countries boycotted the 1980 Moscow Olympics, including Japan. So, the Japanese Olympic team never used these shoes to limber up in Moscow. They are similar to the Nike Cortez on first glance, but examination of the midsole shows six cutouts that pass from one side to the other, under the rearmost vertical stripe.
