One of my regular readers, Jorge, sent me some interesting material. It seems that Converse does not have the right to the term "All Star" or the "Star" logo on footwear in some countries, This results in interesting shoes like these...
Here
are some "All Star" sneakers, but they aren't Converse All Star sneakers. At the current conversion rate,
Jorge reports that they're $1.60 a pair. Note that these "All Star"
sneakers kept the double layer cloth toe reinforcement that Converse has lost
over the years.
Now
that we've had the name "All Star," how about a shoe with a star on
it? Here is a pair of "New Stars by Grancost."
